Trend watch lands on WhatsApp every Monday at nine in the morning — eight lines maximum, one headline, three to five specific sub-bullets, an optional action line only if something is genuinely actionable today. You seed the topics on activation; Manny does the watching. How this skill works: When you seed a suburb — Bryanston house prices, Sea Point property — Manny scans the last seven days of credible South African property news for movements specific to it. When you seed a brand — Capitec, WeAreEgg, Yuppiechef — Manny tracks pricing, product launches, founder moves and material news rather than press-release noise. When you seed a topic — load-shedding stage forecast, interest-rate decision, natural wine in Cape Town — Manny writes specifics like "Reserve Bank held at 8.25%, next review 17 Jul", not vague "interest rates may change" lines. When something is genuinely actionable today, Manny adds the action line — "Capitec just dropped fixed by 0.15%, worth a 3-min look if you're still on variable." Otherwise the line is omitted. This skill is useful when you want the signal without the scroll — Manny watches your tracked surfaces so you only read what moved this week.
